Hello and welcome to Ca-Ji Shepherds. My name is Carol Veitenheimer, owner and breeder here at Ca-Ji. I've been breeding German Shepherds for over 47 years now. My goal in breeding has always been to produce the German Shepherd Dog Standard—correct temperament and body structure. I breed for the complete German Shepherd who serves as a family companion and working dog. Puppies are now available and Ca-Ji has one adult female for sale at this time.

LaNina is a tremendously talented and energetic dog. She has been trained in tracking, search and rescue, and protection work. She flies with Brent, rides on the back of his motorcycle, and goes boating with him on his offshore motorsailer. LaNina has been a welcome visitor in Vancouver General Hospital and the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre while Brent's father was being treated for cancer. Brent would take her to visit his father and she would go visit everyone else that she could. The staff loved it when she would hang around the nurse's station and greet people.

LaNina also spent considerable time in the palliative care ward of Vancouver General while Brent's brother was dying. Again, she would spend time visiting and spending time with other patients.

Of the five German Shepherds that Brent has had over the course of his life, he says that "LaNina is head and shoulders above the rest. Tremendously versatile and outgoing, LaNina is a truly amazing dog."

Too many kennels breed any two random German Shepherds with little or no regard to breeding for type and temperament – just to produce puppies for sale. Because of my many years of experience, I am able to select breedings that consistently produce sound temperament and bodies, high intelligence, and superb trainability. Each pup has the essential traits and instincts to become a loving family companion.

The German Shepherd Dog is not for everyone. German Shepherds are incredibly intelligent, sensitive, and intuitive animals, and they require a life commitment from their "owners."
